Gilligan’s Island & Southern Gems

On this fun filled day, we’ll start in San Juan then heads to Guanica (hour & a half drive) passing through picturesque inner mountain regions & southern coastlines of Puerto Rico. We’ll first stop in Yauco, where we’ll briefly stop by the downtown plaza to appreciate the art murals & colorful houses known as; Yaucromatic. Then proceed to Guanica, where we’ll pass by the Dry Forest, lighthouse ruins, & Guanica Bay until docking. There you board a catamaran to Gilligan’s Island (5 mins); where you’ll be dazzled by the pristine clear waters, welcomed by a beautiful collection of mangroves, enjoy a giant natural pool with shallow waters perfect for swimming, snorkeling as you discover underwater sea life, & kayaking. After a few hours of adventuring, we’ll visit the sunflower farm (except for the rainy season), then head to Ponce to visit the city plaza for some free time featuring a firehouse museum & cathedral ( Mon – Thurs) or Ponce boardwalk to feed pelicans and taste elective local cuisine (Fri – Sun) until sunset followed by returning to the meeting spot.
